NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Niagara County Coroner Cindy-Lou Joyce says an autopsy has been completed on 5-year-old Isabella Tennant, who's body was found Monday morning in Niagara Falls.
Joyce says Tennant died from "asphyxiation due to mechanical obstruction of the airway and compression of the neck."
In basic terms, the girl was either choked, strangled, or smothered.
Tuesday morning, two teens were arraigned in this case; one for allegedly murdering five-year-old Isabella Tennant and the other for allegedly helping him put her body into a garbage can.
John Robert Freeman, 16, is charged with second degree murder.
Tyler Scott Best, 18, is charged with tampering with evidence.
