BUFFALO, NY - Clean up is underway for several residents in parts of WNY and northern Pennsylvania after several storms rolled through the area yesterday.

State Police tell us one middle aged woman died in Genesee, Pennsylvania due to the strong storms that moved through that area.

Tornado warnings were issued earlier for parts of Potter and McKean counties in Pennsylvania that brought high winds to the area. A severe thunderstorm made its way east across Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties in New York.

A police official told 2 On Your Side the Town of Smethport suffered some damage due to a report of a funnel cloud that may have touched down.  There were no reports of any injuries there.  The National Weather Service has yet to say if a tornado did actually touch down.

The severe weather prompted NYS Parks to force mandatory evacuations for tent campers at Allegany, Lake Erie and Evangola State Parks.  An officer from Allegany State Park says campers were offered refuge in the administration building or a refund for today.
