WILSON, NY -  Western New Yorkers are coming together to help a Niagara County family who lost their daughter in a house explosion in Wilson on Tuesday morning.

Rescue workers were called to Chestnut Road near Beebe Road just after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Investigators say a young girl, Sarah Johnson, died in the explosion.  Her parents and two children were also in the home at the time of the explosion and were seriously injured.  Two other children were not home at the time of the explosion.

A Johnson Family Benefit Fund has been set up at the First Niagara Branch in Wilson, but donations will be accepted at any First Niagara Branch.

Two churches are accepting gift card donations to help the family.  They were accepting clothing, but the response was so overwhelming, they had to stop collecting.

If you can't make it out to Niagara County to drop off gift cards, you can drop of new clothing to the 2 On Your Side Studio during regular business hours  8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday.    We will make sure the family receives them.  We are located at: 259 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo.
