AURORA, CO - President Barack Obama was in Aurora Sunday evening visiting with family members of those involved in the Colorado theater shooting.
The president's visit included a private meeting with the victims' loved ones and meetings with state and local officials about the shooting.
He offered these words of comfort, "Scripture says that he will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
Thousands attended a vigil held on the steps of the Aurora Municipal Center. Among those speaking were Mayor Steve Hogan and Colorado Governor Hickenlooper.
The names of the 12 victims were read aloud, followed by the crowd chanting, "We Will Remember."
