BATAVIA, NY - A young Batavia man was arrested after he was caught breaking into a church Saturday night.

Police say 22-year-old John Cabrera was caught breaking into St. Paul's Lutheran on Washington Ave in Batavia.

Investigators are awaiting for DNA evidence to prove if Cabrera is responsible for the string of burglaries that have been taking place in Batavia. Genesee County Nursing Home and Park Site Manor, both in Batavia, were burglarized just a few weeks ago.

Cabrera has been charged with burglary.
