Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Kyle Singler, who spent last season
playing for both Lucentum Alicante and Real Madrid in Spain, has signed a
multi-year contract with the Detroit Pistons.
A second-round pick of the Pistons last year, Singler averaged 14.4 points and
3.4 rebounds in 10 starts for Lucentum Alicante and then had 7.9 points over
46 games (38 starts) for Real Madrid.
"We are pleased to have Kyle Singler join our organization knowing he brings
great character and skill to our team," said Pistons president of basketball
operations Joe Dumars. "We watched him grow as a player throughout his season
in Spain last year and we feel hes going to be a great addition to our roster
going forward."
During his four years at Duke, Singler averaged 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds.
