CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. - A routine jail search led to the discovery of three Gabapentin pills concealed by an inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says that Joshua P. Roach, 19, was found with the pills concealed in a bandage on his arm. It is alleged that Roach attempted to resist the officers in order to prevent them from discovering the contraband.

Roach reportedly stated that he would "swing on the officers", and that he physically resisted them and had to be restrained.

The suspect will appear in Chautauqua County Court on a later date.
