GETZVILLE, N.Y. -- Following his not guilty verdicts on all felony counts, Dr. James Corasanti left the courtroom with his extended family and friends, and according to neighbors, everyone gathered at the Corasanti home in Getzville.
Several neighbors called 2 On Your Side complaining there was a "party" at the home.
Richard Rice, the father of the victim Alix Rice, referenced the alleged "party" during a news conference Thursday.
"Nobody's a winner, nobody's leaving here celebrating," Mr. Rice said, repeating the comments made by the defense team after the verdict. "They were waiting until they got home... They enjoyed it."
2 On Your Side reached out to a person who was at the Corasanti home following the verdict. The woman, who is the wife of one of the defense attorneys, said there was no party.
"I was there. It was more like a 'wake'. Lots of hugs and tears, NO celebrating," she said.
"There was pizza and wings and that was it!" the person told 2 On Your Side. "The people who were there were his immediate family and close friends who stood by him from day one. He is NOT celebrating at all!"
