BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Linda Hill-MacDonald will not return as the University at Buffalo women's basketball coach after the school elected not to renew her contract after it expired last season.

The decision was announced by interim athletic director John Lambert on Wednesday, and came three weeks after Danny White was hired as the school's new AD.

The move did not come as a surprise after Hill-MacDonald went 75-137 in seven seasons at Buffalo, including a 9-22 finish last year.

Hill-MacDonald's best season came in 2010-11, when the Bulls went 16-16.

That was a disappointment for a coach who arrived in Buffalo with a solid resume that featured NCAA tournament berths with Temple (1989) and Minnesota (1994). Hill-MacDonald also enjoyed a three-year stint coaching the WNBA's now defunct Cleveland Rockers in the late 1990s.
