CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. -- Several BOCES students learning the art of auto repair just completed a very special project.

An 11-year-old van was rusting away just a few weeks ago.
That's when owner Scott Sullivan, who was injured in a motorcycle accident 25 years ago, hooked up with a friend who was happy to help him out.

The specially adapted van helps Scott get around without asking for help, and he couldn't be happier with the results the high school kids worked hard to achieve for him.

"Yes indeed, he is the teacher.  Guys made it look new, even better, gets me around and keeps me around and keeps me independent.  That's important." said Sullivan.

BOCES donated the labor and several local paint companies donated the paint supplies to make the van that was once covered in rust a beauty once again.
