BOSTON, NY - A New York State Trooper is credited with saving the life of a toddler found unresponsive in the family pool Tuesday night.

Trooper Christopher Sullivan, a 12-year-veteran, was on the scene within three minutes at the home on Omphalius Road.

State Police say 23-month-old Lillian Nawotka was in the pool for only a short time before her mom and others outside realized she was missing.

When Sullivan got to the house, the child was unconcious and not breathing.  He immediately began CPR and was able to partially revive her before Boston EMS arrived and took over.

The toddler was rushed to Women and Children's Hospital where she's expected to make a full recovery.
