DEPEW, NY - Depew Police have arrested two suspects in a string of break-ins that targeted unlocked vehicles in the Dick Road-George Urban Boulevard area of Depew bordering Cheektowaga. Police recovered approximately $15,000 worth of stolen property, consisting mainly of personal electronic devices such as cell phones, GPS units and laptop computers.

David Moore, 18, of Arden Avenue and Terrance Baylor, 20, of Hewitt Street in Buffalo are charged with larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. Moore, the driver of the vehicle at the time of the arrest, was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and other vehicle and traffic violations.

Moore and Baylor were pulled over by a Depew police patrol on North Creek Drive at about 2 a.m. on May 10 when it appeared they were casing the neighborhood by driving up and down adjacent streets. Baylor was wanted on an arrest warrant for robbery and Moore's driver's license had been suspended 10 times. The arresting officer observed several portable electronic devices and a purse inside the vehicle, which later were determined to have been stolen from unlocked vehicles in the area.

The case is still under investigation and more charges are pending. Bail was set at $5,000 each.
