Bob Brady is Chairman and CEO of Moog, Inc.
Bob was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at M.I.T. in 1962, completed a tour of duty as a naval officer in 1964 and than attended the Harvard Business School. He joined Moog in 1966, immediately after graduating from Harvard.
In 1968, Bob became the Manufacturing Manager of Moog's Aerospace Division and, in 1976, was named Vice President and General Manager. In 1981, the Aerospace Division was reorganized into four divisions and Bob became President, Aerospace Group, and a Moog Director.
In 1988, Bill Moog, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moog Inc., retired from active participation in the Company. The Board of Directors elected Bob President and Chief Executive Officer. In 1996 he was elected Chairman. In 2011 the Board elected John Scannell CEO.
Bob continues as Executive Chairman.
In the course of his career with Moog, Bob has been responsible for the design and manufacture of servocontrols used in military and commercial aircraft, strategic and tactical missiles, satellites and space vehicles, and in a variety of industrial machine controls and medical devices. Since becoming CEO, Bob has worked to strengthen the Company's strategic position in its major market areas through internal investment and a number of acquisitions. Over the last ten years, the Company's revenues have tripled and its market capitalization has increased by over $1 billion.
Bob is a Director of a number of public corporations including the M & T Bank Corporation, the Astronics Corporation, and the National Fuel Gas Company. He is currently a Director of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, a member of the University at Buffalo Council, and a Director of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
Bob and his wife, Ann, live in East Aurora, New York. They have three grown children.
