BUFFALO, NY-- Dr. Satish K. Tripathi was appointed co-chairman of the Western New York Regional Economic Development Council by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
A graduate of Banaras Hindu University in India, Tripathi was named President of the University at Buffalo in April 2011.
Tripathi has a doctorate in computer science from the University of Toronto, and holds three master's degrees-one in computer science from the University of Toronto and two in statistics from the University of Alberta and Banaras Hindu University.
