CLARENCE, NY - Sunday night marked the third anniversary of the deadly crash of Continental Flight 3407, and families and friends of the victims gathered at the site of the crash to remember them.

The ceremonies began at 9:45pm with a candle-lit procession through Clarence Center. Hundreds of family members and friends of the victims walked from the Zion Lutheran Church just a few blocks down the road to Long Street, the site of the crash.

Once they arrived, they said a prayer for the 50 crash victims, then read each of their names aloud. You could hear crying and trembling everywhere.

Then, at 10:17pm, which is the exact time of the crash, they rang a bell once for each victim.

For their loved ones, it was a deeply emotional night.

"I miss her every day," said a crying Tina Abraham, who lost her daughter in the crash.

The private memorial at the crash site is still under construction. There are only two stones left to be laid at the private memorial site on Long Street. It also features 51 stepping stones, with the victims names etched in them. There's also a bench and 12 pear trees to represent the day of the crash. They're planning a formal dedication on June 2nd after the annual memorial race.
