Orleans County Drug Raid Leads to 10 Arrests

ALBION, NY - A three month long investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine has led to the arrest of ten people in Orleans County.

The arrests were made on Wednesday of last week after the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force, along with other agencies, received search warrants for an apartment complex located at 13 East Bank Street.

Ten people were arrested and charged with various drugs charges.

Chris Mitchell, 26 years old, was charged with 3 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 3 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Tony Thompson, 45 years old, was charged with  3 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 3 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Anthony Barber, 56 years old, was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Alexandra Ivy, 34 years old, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of unlawful sale of untaxed cigarettes.

Charles Ingram, 56 years old, was charged with 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 1 count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Benith White, 42 years old, was charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance and 1 count criminal possession of a controlled substance.

James Crews, 55 years old, was charged with 8 counts of criminal nuisance.

Mac Howard, 67 years old, was charged with 1 count of criminal nuisance and 1 count of unlawful sale of alcohol. He was issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Albion Court.

J.W. Hardy III, 25 years old, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was also issued an appearance ticket to the Town of Albion Court.

A 17 year old was also issued an appearance ticket  for later this month for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Crews, Ivy, Barber, Thompson and Mitchell were arraigned in the Town of Albion Court. Thompson and Mitchell are being held the Orleans County jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond. Crews, Ivy and Barber are being held at the Orleans County jail $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

White and Ingram were arraigned in the Town of Albion Court. Ingram is being held at the Orleans County jail with no bail. White is being held at the Orleans county jail on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.

They are all scheduled to return to the Town of Albion Justice Court on February 7th.

More charges are pending as investigators continue to look into this case.
