BUFFALO, NY-- Almost one year ago, Muzzammil Hassan was convicted for murdering and beheading his wife Aasiya.

Now, the couple's two young children will be receiving money for their future as a result of a court settlement.

Attorneys for Aasiya Hassan's estate sued both Bridges TV and the Town of Orchard Park over Mrs. Hassan's murder.

A settlement of those cases means the two children, now nine and seven-years-old, will receive about $60,000.

The Town had been sued because Mrs. Hassan had taken out an order of protection against her husband.

In addition to the money, the couple's two children, as well as Mo Hassan's two older children, will also receive millions of shares of stock in Bridges TV which was owned by the couple.

"There's potential there for those stock certificates to be worth a lot of money assuming there's another buyer at some point down the future, if the network remains viable it could be worth a substantial amount of money many have estimated that could be in the millions of dollars. We're hoping that comes to fruition and that will all go to the children," says Terry Connors, Attorney for the Estate.

The two younger children have also received their mother's $450,000 life insurance policy.

The younger children are living with their mother's parents in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Mo Hassan is serving a sentence of 25 years to life in prison for killing his wife.
