BUFFALO, NY - New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady has apparently apologized for taking a shot at hotels in the Buffalo area.

Brady spoke to a Buffalo News reporter this morning and "apologized for saying that."

Earlier this week, Brady was asked about the support he has received from his parents over the years. He talked about how they have traveled across the country in support of his career and then made a comment upset a lot of WNY folks.

"I don't know if you guys have been to the hotels in Buffalo," Brady said regarding his parents' travels. "But they're not the nicest places in the world."

Visit Buffalo Niagara has issued the following statement:

"From the Mansion on Delaware Avenue, which is a member of the Historic Hotels of America and a AAA Four Diamond recipient, to the National Historic Landmark Roycroft Inn in East Aurora, Buffalo Niagara is filled with excellent hotel options to meet the needs of the most refined travelers," said Ed Healy, V.P. of Marketing for Visit Buffalo Niagara. "P.s. - go Giants!"

Wednesday night, the proprietor of The Mansion on Delaware invited Tom Brady and his family to enjoy a complimentary night at the hotel.

Tom is misinformed," said Geno Principe, proprietor. "Much like the Patriots, the Mansion also strives for excellence. From international and national celebrities and dignitaries, business travelers and locals, our guests stay with us for a unique, luxury experience. Often times, they return because of the personal attention to detail and the renowned service by our butlers."

"We invite Tom Brady and his entire family to a complimentary stay at the Mansion. There are not only nice places to stay in Buffalo, there's so much more - great food, great people, great culture. We welcome him to come visit us," added Principe.

Tell the Super Bowl quarterback what you think about his remark. Send us and e-mail and we will send all of them to Brady and the Patriots.
