Belfast Man Arrested For Public Lewdness

BELFAST, NY-- A Belfast man faces charges for public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.

New York State Police in Amity say Dan Rutar, 49, was arrested for committing lewd acts in front of a 13-year-old male while in the Town of Belfast over the past two weeks.

Rutar was arraigned in court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
