Pitbull Owner Charged with Animal Cruelty

BUFFALO, NY - A Buffalo man has been charged with three counts of animal cruelty after SPCA workers rescued three pitbulls Friday.

The dogs -- a mother and two puppies -- were taken from a home at 138 Herkimer Street. The SPCA says the mother was confined in the attic on a very short chain and the puppies were locked in a closet. All three were extremely emaciated.

The owner, 22-year-old Marvin Green, was issued an appearance tickets and charged with three counts of animal cruelty.
