NIAGARA FALLS, NY-- When it opened on black Friday, organizers  of the Holiday Market in Niagara Falls thought they could hit 400,000 visitors.

Now, it appears they will only get around half that. With four days before Christmas, an estimated 150,000 people have visited the market.

Despite that, the people behind the European style market say it is a success, and a big reason is out of town guests.

"We've had some bus tours from the New York metropolitan area, the Pittsburgh area, that's been great," says Mark Rivers, Market Organizer. "People have come in and they've attended concerts with us and shopped with us in downtown Niagara Falls and it is a time that usually does not get that type of traffic."

Organizers are also hoping for a large crowd after Christmas, as kids are off from school.   In addition to the shopping, there is an ice rink for skating and concerts scheduled.

The market is open until January 1, 2012.  Check out their website for more information and a schedule of events.
