BUFFALO, N.Y. -- 2 On Your Side has sent repeated requests to the city of Buffalo for information about permits obtained by the Occupy Buffalo movement.

Organizers obtained a 30-day protest permit back in October but told 2 On Your Side October 28th, that they were currently looking to reapply for another permit.  On November 3rd, 2011 Channel 2 filed a Freedom of Information Request with the city of Buffalo but our request was denied - due to the 5-day time lapse.  By law, governments have to respond within a 5-day period and the city of Buffalo never responded to our request, despite repeated attempts.

Occupy Buffalo protestors told Channel 2 they had "no comment" when it came to a current permit.  A spokesperson for the city of Buffalo told Channel 2 that talks between protestors and city leaders about a new permit are "ongoing".
