Niagara Holiday Market on Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls
NIAGARA FALLS, NY - The Niagara Holiday Market is finally taking shape now on Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls. Workers were busy on Friday finishing up work on the booths for vendors who will be part of the European style market.
Mark Rivers, who is coordinating the project, says they are trying to offer some unique merchants with boutique type shopping for the Christmas season. Some have come in from California and Vermont.
The market will be open for the next 36 days into New Year's Day with entertainment ranging from concerts from Aaron Neville, the BPO, and local school choirs to street performers who will lend a festive air. There will also be nightly Christmas tree lightings and an outdoor skating rink for ice skating and pond hockey.
