BUFFALO, NY-It's a Thanksgiving Day tradition going back 116 years. The annual YMCA Turkey Trot was run under grey skies and slightly windy conditions.
Over 13,200 runners left and corner of Delaware and Shoreham heading down Delaware into downtown Buffalo and the finish line outside the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
Trotters include serious runner and walkers to individuals who choose to strut their Thanksgiving spirit by running in costume.

For the fourth straight year, Dennis Pollow, Jr. 24, from Ransomville, was the overall winner with a race time of 24:42. The first woman to cross the finish line was Maura Frauenhofer, 22, of Hamburg, with a time of 29:11, her third consecutive win.
Proceeds from the YMCA Turkey Trot go to provide financial assistance to children and families who are unable to afford Y programs and services, and also to help underwrite Y programs such as before and after school child care.
