TONAWANDA, N.Y. - Senior quarterback #12 Chad Kelly once again led his St. Joe's Marauders to a big win on Saturday, as they defeated Cardinal O'Hara 48-20.
Kelly was nearly perfect on the day, completing 15 of 16 passes for 311 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. Kelly only played one series in the second half.
Senior wide receiver Kyle Briggs was Kelly's favorite target, as he caught four passes for 138 yards and three touchdowns.
St. Joe's scored on its first six possessions.
The Marauders are now 5-1, and they're the 10th-ranked team in the state. Their only loss came at the hands of Aquinas, the No. 1 team in New York.
Joe's will face its next challenge at Steubenville, a top 20 team in Ohio. Steubenville is 6-0. The heavyweight matchup will be played on Friday night.
O'Hara, on the other hand, falls to 1-5 on the year. The Hawks will play host to Canisius on Saturday.
