BUFFALO, NY - Thousands of people from all over Western New York came out to celebrate the Music is Art festival all day Saturday.
The 9th annual event took place at Delaware Park and consisted of over 150 musicians, designers, artists and dancers.
The event was created by Goo Goo Dolls bassist and Buffalo native Robby Takac to give artists the opportunity to showcase their work.
Executive director, Tod Kniazuk said, "It's really kind of a fun party for everyone who shows up for this big free day but for the bands involved instead of playing in a club in front of 50 people, they get to come out here and play in front of a few thousand."
The proceeds from the event benefit the Music is Art program which offers a variety of musical programs, funds to music related events and a refurbished instrument drive.
