LANCASTER, NY - A stretch of Interstate 90 reopened Wednesday morning, following an accident that caused quite a mess late Tuesday night.
State Troopers say a double tractor trailer carrying dairy products drifted into the shoulder and struck a disabled vehicle along the road. The impact caused the truck to lose its load -- spilling hundreds of gallons of milk, orange juice, and chip dip onto the thruway.
It happened in the eastbound lanes near the Depew/Lancaster Exit. The section of the thruway was shut in both directions as crews worked to clean up the mess. The route reopened early Wednesday morning.
No one was hurt.
