GRAND ISLAND, NY - It was a day filled with fun educational activities at the Islandview Apartment Complex to benefit the Miracle League.
The Miracle League of WNY is raising money to build a baseball diamond made of rubber at Veterans Park. The new field would provide a safe and accessible place for disabled children and adults to "just play ball."
Belmont Housing Services and A.W.A.R.E. were on site to teach people about the importance of wildlife safety and affordable housing options.
The event also had a Chiavetta's chicken BBQ, face-painting and balloon-making.
