BUFFALO, NY--How prepared are local first responders in case of a bio hazard emergency? It appears constant practice is paying off!
Wednesday afternoon, the William Street Post Office was the scene for a large scale emergency exercise.
Postal Inspectors along with local first responders worked on the contingency plans to make sure everyone is on the same page and knows their roles in the event of a real emergency.
Organizers say these exercises are extremely important on an ongoing basis.
The exercise Wednesday was complete with employee simulations, decontamination tents and buses to transport potential victims.
Buffalo police and fire and the department of health helped make the event a success.
