Jane Corwin Concedes NY-26 Race
BUFFALO, NY - Before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Republican Jane Corwin conceded the 26th District congressional race to Democrat Kathy Hochul.
Hochul had maintained a lead in the numbers from the very early returns on.
In her speech, Corwin said, "My objective has always been to build the american dream," she continued, "but the discourse of this election leaves me concerned. We cannot continue to play 'gotcha' politics and avoid facing the major issues we face in this country."
Corwin also said, "I will continue to fight to strengthen our community in my role as an Assemblywoman for the 142nd District."
Before thanking all of her supporters again, Corwin acknowledged her opponent, saying, "I look forward to working with Kathy Hochul to make good things happen in this country."
