ELMA, NY - Several police agencies were called to the parking lot of an Elma nightspot early Saturday morning for a reported brawl that left two brothers stabbed.

It all started shortly before 4am outside of Page's Paradise Island on Transit Road. The fight broke out after the suspect accused one of the two brothers of throwing a bottle at him.

After the stabbing, the suspect, Brandon Wyse, 22, of Cheektowaga,  tried to get away on foot. According to Lt. Bert Dunn with the Erie County Sheriff's Department, at that point, the girlfriend of one of the victims pointed out the suspect to a "good samaritan" who gave chase and tackled Wyse. That girlfriend then got into a van and allegedly tried to run Wyse over, injuring the good samaritan instead. Wyse managed to make his escape but was caught and arrested by Lancaster Police about 20 minutes later. The injuries to the good samaritan are not believed to be serious.

The names of the brothers, ages 21 and 31, are not being released until family can be notified. Both are being treated for their wounds at ECMC.

Wyse was arraigned in Elma Town Court on two counts of assault and a weapons charge. Bail was set at $100,000. He's also facing charges in Lancaster. Charges are also pending against the girlfriend who drove the van.
