(Buffalo-AP) -- The four-year-old daughter of a couple killed by a drunk driver will receive more than 50 million dollars in an insurance settlement.
Kailyn Marie Baskerville was just four weeks old when her parents were killed in a head-on crash in Hamburg, south of Buffalo, in January 1999. She has since been adopted by relatives.
A wrongful-death suit was filed on her behalf against Ford Motor Credit Corporation and Diane Dombrowski-Bove, a bar manager who was driving drunk at the time of the crash.
A state Supreme Court judge will appoint trustees to oversee the trust fund to be set up for the girl.
Her attorneys say a substantial portion of the 51 million dollar settlement will be paid within three weeks.
The 36-year-old Dombrowski-Bove is serving time at the Albion Correctional Facility after being convicted of vehicular manslaughter.
