BUFFALO, NY - When Allcare Dental and Dentures closed down earlier this month, hundreds of patients were left without dental care.

Mark Smith of South Buffalo was a patient at Allcare in Cheektowaga for three years. A dental hygienist at Lesinski Family & Cosmetic Dentistry saw a story that featured Smith and decided they wanted to help him.

"We just felt bad for him and we're dentists and said this is something we can do to help. No charge, no strings," said Dr. James Lesinski.

Dr. Lesinski, along with Evolution Dental Science, will work together to make a new set of dentures for Smith. "It's just a random act of kindness," he said.

Christina Kelly, a registered hygienist, said the office does community outreach to assist someone every month. "We're going to try to change your (Mark Smith) negative experience into a positive experience, so the dental profession isn't tainted with this terrible thing that Allcare ended up doing," she said.

Dr. Lisinski is willing to accept new patients.

UB Dental students are also helping out former Allcare patients.
