BUFFALO, NY-- Many women have no idea what their risk is for developing breast cancer. But after undergoing a risk assessent evaluation at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, women at low, moderate and high risk can take part in a prevention program suited to their needs.
The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment and Prevention Program starts with a complete assessment that begins with a phone call to Roswell Park at 1-877-ASK-RPCI (1-877-275-7724). After a preliminary consultation, patients are invited into the clinic to have a more complete history and risk assessment completed.
After their level of risk is determined, patients learn about all the options they have to consider; from the most minimal surveillance program to the more aggressive prophylactic surgery.
