WNY Club Hockey Championships at Key Bank Center Friday

The WNY Club hockey championships will be played Friday at the Key Bank Center.

BUFFALO, NY- Friday afternoon the WNY Club hockey championship games will be played at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.

Tuesday morning, the Sabres hosted a press conference for all six teams involved in the games.

The games begin at 5pm when East Aurora/Holland takes the ice against Depew in the small school game.

At 7pm, its the large school game between Orchard Park and St. Joe's.

The mixed schools game will be the final one of the night between Jamestown and Royhart.

Orchard Park Head Coach Steven Ferrentino told 2 On Your Side's Stu Boyar he wants the players to enjoy the experience.

"Ten years from now they'll be talking about what it is, to come through that locker room, come through the security entrance, get in the locker room, dress where the players dress, get on the ice, see your picture on the Jumbotron, just like a regular Sabres' game, its their day. They're on the bench right where Jack Eichel sits, you know what I mean, so its their day to shine, and their day to have fun and we get to do it here because of the Sabres."
