BUFFALO, NY - Health Sciences hoops star Davonte Gaines is heading to the SEC.
Gaines has verbally committed to the University of Tennessee, Gaines announced on Twitter Saturday.

The 6-foot-7 junior was a second team All Western New York selection last season after averaging averaging 17.7 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 3.8 blocks and 2.9 steals
"With Coach Lanier and Coach Barnes, I believe I can expand as a player and grow as a person," Gaines wrote in a tweet. "I think we could have something special and be very successful. After discussing with my family and my coach, I am proud to announce that I'm continuing my academic and athletic career and committing to the University of Tennessee."
