Social services worker accused of sexual abuse

ALBION, NY — A social services worker, accused of inappropriate and unwanted behavior with a client, is facing sexual abuse charges as a result.

Rome A. Santiago, 39, who is employed by the social services organization Genesee-Orleans A.R.C., is accused of having inappropriate and unwanted contact with an adult client during outings, according to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.

Santiago was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with third-degree sexual abuse.

Santiago has been issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Albion Court on Dec. 20 at 9 a.m.
