A new drug appears to be an effective treatment for multiple sclerosis.
Researchers tested alemtuzumab (AL-em-TOOZ-oo-mab) on m-s patients and say the drug worked better than the current treatment in preventing relapses and improving disability over a two year period.
the drug was effective in patients who had not yet received any treatment and in those who were already taking other medications.
