"I know you are a big proponent of strength training to build muscle so that you may ultimately burn fat while at rest. Although I understand this concept, I am trying to lose only 10 lbs, but when I lift, I get bigger, not leaner. I don't want to look like a linebacker, I'd rather look like a surfer. I'm 45 and spend 30-40 minutes doing cardio 4-5 times a week, and about 1/2 hour strength training for the same amount of days. Help!"
