CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. -- An example of Western New York generosity was unveiled Sunday.
The Resurrection Life Food Pantry revealed a new donated food truck.
An anonymous donor called the pantry about six weeks ago, wanting to donate anything they needed.
The pantry asked for a truck to haul food donations.
The donor had the truck built to the pantry's exact specifications, and wrapped with their logo.
Sunday it was revealed to the whole church community.
"We were in crisis mode. We had to get a new truck," said Kim Reynolds, Director of the Resurrection Life Food Pantry. "And no longer could we do one and two, three pickups a day. We needed to get one donation pickup a day to make it easier."
The pantry says the new truck will be able to transport up to 14,000 pounds of food donations.
The Resurrection Life Food Pantry serves over 550 families in Western New York.
