BUFFALO, NY- A Buffalo woman is hoping the City of Good Neighbors will extend its generosity to children in Haiti.
Roswell Park Cancer Institute registered nurse and clinical assistant professor in the school of nursing at UB, Molli Warunek, has volunteered in Haiti five times. She has become particularly attached to the F.E.D. Orphanage, which is home to 26 children. They are cared for by five adult volunteers. The orphanage has little money for food, medical care and education.
The money raised at a benefit that Warunek is calling The "Feel Good" Event, will go directly to those children.
The fundraiser will be held at Buffalo Distilling Company at 860 Seneca Street, Buffalo, on Saturday, August 12, from 6pm to 10pm. It will include music by Record Theater, live auction, baskets, and food. A cover charge of $10 in donated to the orphanage.
If you cannot attend, you can donate through the Go Fund Me page here.
