Heather came to Buffalo in 2006 with a big burst of winter weather -- the October surprise storm was her first day on the air at Channel 2.
She's no stranger to snow and cold though. The Chicago native's first reporting job was in Potsdam, NY, where she worked for a local 24-hour cable station. Heather worked her way up from the North Country bureau to News 10 Now's main station in Syracuse.
Heather graduated with honors from Columbia College Chicago in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
You can catch Heather alongside the rest of the Daybreak crew, weekdays from 4:30-7 a.m. She also reports for Daybreak Saturday.
When Heather's not working, you'll find her boating in the Finger Lakes and Niagara River. Heather enjoys traveling, cooking, "retail therapy," and rooting for the Chicago Bears and White Sox -- but lately all of that has taken a back seat to wedding planning! She and her fiance are getting married in September 2013.
