Roswell Park Tree of Hope lighting ceremony forecast for Friday

Can't rule out some clouds, but no precipitation should be falling from them in downtown Buffalo Friday evening.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — There will be a wintry feel in the air Friday evening to pair with the holiday cheer at the Roswell Park Tree of Hope Lighting in Kaminski Park.

With festivities lasting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, past sunset, there won't be any warm from the sun to count on.

Even so, Friday looks to be another pretty cloudy day with afternoon temperatures only in the upper 30s. But unlike earlier this week, no precipitation should be falling from the clouds Friday.

This is Buffalo is on the northern side of a weak surface low that will skirt to the south heading into the weekend. So while it will be dry in Buffalo, the Southern Tier could pick up a few rain and snow showers Friday night and into Saturday morning.
