BUFFALO, NY-- For the first time in seven years, you can get from Buffalo to Albany in less than an hour.

The first OneJet flight between the cities left Buffalo Tuesday morning.

"We're thrilled to now be able to meet the demand for a convenient travel solution between Buffalo and Albany," said John D. Porcari, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Transportation and senior adviser to OneJet in a released statement. "This route will prove significant to the economy of Western New York as it will help regional travelers maximize their workdays and shrink their commute time to home to one hour or less."

The route will fly twice a day and cost about $200 round trip. That's about twice as much as an Amtrak ticket, but of course, it's a whole lot faster.
