BUFFALO - The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Nathan Beaulieu to a two-year deal worth $4.8 million.
The contract carries an average annual value (AAV) of $2.4 million.
The team announced the signing on Monday, so the Sabres and Beaulieu will not go to arbitration.
Buffalo acquired Beaulieu earlier in the offseason, by trading a 2017 draft pick to Montreal.
Beaulieu adds depth to the Sabres blue line under new coach Phil Housley, a Hall of Fame defenseman.
