Fraser began officiating at the age of 12, and loved it right away. He rose through the youth hockey ranks, on to college games and then attended a national camp for officials. "I thought it was a tryout, but it was an invitation to join the United States junior development program for officiating."

He was then on to reffing top level junior leagues, on to the American Hockey League and then finally international competitions. This is the first time he will work the Olympics. His son Cooper, daughter Sienna and wife Lauren will be cheering here at home. "This was a dream of his" says Lauren "even when we first met, so to see it come to fruition is really awesome, amazing."
