BUFFALO, NY- Forward Kyle Criscuolo will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a shoulder injury suffered in Monday night's win over Toronto.

He was hit by the Leafs Matt Martin midway through the second period and headed immediately to the locker room.

Head coach Phil Housley said, "Tough on him, too. In the little time that he did play in the game, I thought he played a really sound game and brought his speed. He's one of those guys that goes to the tough area. He took that hit, and it's unfortunate for him and it's unfortunate for us moving forward."

Criscuolo was headed back to Rochester. He had been skating in place of Evan Rodrigues who remains day to day. If Rodrigues can't return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Calgary Flames, the Sabres may have to make another recall.
