BUFFALO, NY - "Development". That was a buzz word in GM Jason Botterill's introductory press conference. He stressed the importance of building from the AHL level in Rochester and creating a better relationship with the Americans.

Sabres assistant general manager, Randy Sexton, is also now the general manager of the Amerks and he's excited about building a winning culture.

"We are not going to rest until we restore the Americans to what I think is the rightful place amongst the elite teams in the American Hockey League. It'll come one day at a time, it'll come one person at a time but we will be relentless in our pursuit of that success," Randy Sexton said after day one of the Sabres development camp.

Development camp continues on Sunday morning with the first session at 10.
