Super Bowl champs: 3 from Western New York enjoy NFL championship

Kansas City's Demone Harris, Ryan Hunter, Jody Fortson come out on the winning end against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Three players with Western New New York connections are now Super Bowl champions.

A former Bishop Timon and University at Buffalo standout, linebacker Demone Harris is on the Kansas City Chiefs' roster, as is Ryan Hunter, who went to Canisius High School before playing at Bowling Green State University.

Jody Fortson, who played at South Park High School, was on Kansas City's practice squad. He also played at Erie Community College before transferring to Valdosta State.

Kansas City beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 on Sunday night in Super Bowl LIV in Miami.
