Bills defeat Jets 27-10

The Bills host the Jets with a shot to win the AFC East and close out the regular season on a high note.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Final Bills win 27-10

Fourth Quarter

- With this one just about over, Bills get their 9th sack of the day. With the Patriots losing to the Dolphins, the Bills have clinched the AFC East. Mitch Trubisky has entered the game for Allen who will get the rest of the night off. 

- Bills start to close things out, Buffalo forces the Jets to punt, Allen driving once again using both his arm and legs. 3rd and 4, Allen hits Singletary for his second touchdown of the night. The crowd is really starting to celebrate, as the Bills are just a few minutes away from their second consecutive AFC east title. Buffalo leads 27-10.

- Jets throw a diving 1st down grab to Tarik Black, first Jets first down since the first half. Matt Milano comes up with the Bills 7th sack of the night, Jets punt. Bills start their next possession near midfield. First play, Allen on play-action takes off on a 32 yard scramble. Singletary caps off the drive with a 1yard touchdown run. 20-10 Bills with 8:21 to go.

Third Quarter

- 3rd and 5 Allen throws a perfect pass to Dawson Knox for 28 yards. The drive stalls out, Buffalo punts, this time Haack's punt pins the Jets inside their own 5.

- In a continuation of the worst game of his career, Haack fumbles the snap to punt, Jets take over deep in Buffalo territory. After a scramble backwards on third down which lead to a big loss of yards, Bills D holds the Jets to 3, Buffalo leads 13-10.

- Jets don't do much on offense, they punt and give the ball back to Josh Allen. Not much moving for either offense, this quarter is all defense. Bills have just 30 yards of offense this quarter, Jets have 3. 

Second Quarter

- 1st half total yards Buffalo 236 New York 69, Josh Allen 16/26 157 yards, 1 TD.

- Buffalo stops the Jets on a short field and the Bills would drive down and kick a 21-yard field goal. Bills lead 13-7.

- Buffalo's next possession, they once again look completely flat, and shockingly, Haack punts another terrible ball giving the Jets great field position heading into the final few minutes of the half. 

- On a 4th and 5, Zach Wilson hits Keelan Cole for a 40-yard touchdown catch and run. Just like that, Bills lead 10-7.

- Buffalo ends up punting on back to back possessions, Matt Haack with a 21 yard punt, he's having a terrible day so far. Jets take over with great field position.

- Bills defense come up with a 3rd and 13 sack, three guys are there to help bring down Wilson, as Buffalo takes over on offense up 10.0. Buffalo would punt, their first punt in three games. Jets go three and out again.

- Instead of kicking a 40+ yard field goal into the wind, Bills go for it on 4th and 5 and fail to convert. Jets take over. 

First Quarter 

- Jets again struggle to get anything going on offense, on 4th down, Cam Lewis blocks the Jets punt and the Bills recover. After 1, Bills lead 10-0 and have outgained the Jets in yards 135-29.

- Allen and Diggs pick up a first on a 3rd and 5 in Jets territory. Allen fired a bullet to Diggs for a 23 yard touchdown, the booth is reviewing to see if he got both feet in. The call was overturned, his right foot was landed out of bounds. Tyler Bass nails a 41 yard field goal to make it 10-0.

- Bills defense forces a quick Jets 3 and out.  

- On 3rd and goal Allen rolls out and hits Stefon Diggs next to the pylon. After booth review, 7-0 Buffalo.

- The Bills open the game on offense, carrying over his success from past week, Devin Singletary bursts a big one for 39 yards putting the Bills in the red zone. 

The Bills welcome the Jets to Orchard Park to close out the NFL regular season. With a Bills win, Buffalo clinches back-to-back AFC East titles and will host a wildcard game next week.
